Traveling to my inner self ;-)

Traveling to my inner self ;-)

Any messages and comments welcome – add them under each relevant post – or at the bottom of this page.

On a trip you don’t only visit different countries and cultures, but it is also a journey to one’s inner self. Travelling alone allows you to question the ‘WHYs’ in life… If you have any questions or experiences that can help this reflection, feel free to add them at the bottom of this page – or send them to travelony[AT]yahoo[DOT]com.

  • What am I looking for on this trip… ?
  • What am I running away from… ?
  • What do I (not) want to do in life… ?
  • Who am I and who do I (not) want to be… ?
  • What am I (not) good at… ?

If you got a Password for this blog, you can read more detailed and personal questions here – but do feel free to send me anything that can help me ‘think’ ;-)

    Hey Tony!

Just back from Vietnam which I really recommend! i have been thinking about you as we were actually planning to go to Cambodia during New Year. But the rain was keeping us for staying at the mainland, so we went to Phu Quoc. Recommandable place for chilling out! Hope you are enjoying yourself and please go out of the dollars areas and get the ‘feel’ of the real life in Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. It is soo much more intriguing……….. Try to find the Water Puppets Theatre in Saigon. Much better than Hanoi. It is near the main parc (where there will be the TET celebrations between the 20st of January until the 30st). Find it at the Internet. Do not go to Ben Tanh Market. It’s a ripp off! But do go to the War Remnants Museum. You have to know about Vietnams history ofcourse and it is interesting to see how a socialistic regime exhibits this……………….

And I hope that there will be less rain for you than we have experienced in Vietnam during December………..

    Have fun!! Cheers Pink

    Hi there Tony,

So I notice you’re at cheerful Phu Quoc (Woh – as the VN say). i was there just a bit more than a week ago! Whereabouts are you? Good place for doing totally nothing and to get yourself a motorbike to scout around the island – which is really beautiful. Do not forget to go snorkling… We stayed in our own little bungalow with veranda and hammack for only 12 dollars at Thanh Hai Guesthouse – a bit further down from the ‘city’. Very nice. Also good and quit beaches, and great food there at the end. say HI to the massage girls there from me! Have fun – we loved the place.

    Cheers, Pink

    Hi Tony,
As I can see and read here, everything seems to be fine with you. I wish you further fun and what ever you which yourself to find on your journey. Take care!

    hey tony,

Intussen in Laos …
    Groetjes,
    Inez

    Tony;
    Congrats for your blog.
I wish I could write as well as you do!
I read everything you wrote about Cambodia. Great work.
I sure will go there pretty soon, not too sure about exact month.
I’m willing for even more info…
I would be très heureux if you can drop me a note whenever you can…
    Saudações brasileiras e coloridas,
    Giovanni.
